Sherry Farrugia is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years experience in the health industry, currently serving as the CEO of GCMI, a non-profit 501(c)(3) and affiliate of Georgia Tech, commercializing innovative medical products through the agency of their renowned wholly-owned subsidiary T3 Labs. Farrugia came to GCMI from the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Technology Center at Georgia Tech, where she served as chief operating and strategy officer for 10 years.
She is currently on the board of directors of the International Society of Pediatric Innovation, an advisory board member of both Health Connect South and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, and a part of the scientific council of Shaping The Future of Pediatrics.
In 2018, Farrugia received the Women in Technology Woman of the Year Award, and she was honored by Georgia Bio for four consecutive years for her work in contributing to Georgia’s life sciences.
Sherry graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Chemistry and Physics and has received a certificate in Global Innovation from the University of Oxford.
